Wholesale Lanthanum Tungsten Electrode for Tig Welding 2.4 WL

Lanthanum-Tungsten electrodes are known for their exceptional welding performance. By doping tungsten with 1-2% La2O3, the electron escape work of these electrodes is reduced to 2.7-2.8ev, which is very similar to the performance of Thorium-Tungsten electrodes. These electrodes can be used for DC and AC welding on unalloyed and high-alloyed steels, aluminum, titanium, nickel, copper, and magnesium alloys. Furthermore, lanthanum tungsten electrodes have minimal radioactivity and great current and burn resistance, making them a viable alternative to thorium tungsten electrodes in low to medium current applications.

We offer a wide range of tungsten electrodes, including thoriated, ceriated, yttriated, and pure tungsten electrodes. Any type and size of tungsten electrode are available upon request from our customers.
